Welcome to the Academy of Our Lady
The Academy of Our Lady is a young school with a fine old tradition here in the Waukegan and North Chicago area. We are the child of the Immaculate Conception and Lake Shore Catholic Academy which came together in 2005 forming the new Academy of Our Lady. We offer a comprehensive academic program from our three and four year-old full day Pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade.
Beyond our rigorous academic program, our students enjoy many extras including music, band, art, physical education, and computers. Our religious education program includes sacramental preparation and daily prayer as well as instruction in our faith and many liturgical celebrations. Our students enjoy many competitive sports opportunities including volleyball, basketball and softball as part of the Lake County Catholic Conference in our renovated gym. We also provide ample opportunities for experiential learning as our students move out into the world to experience plays, concerts, museums and hands-on learning.
Academy of Our Lady students study in a secure environment where all students are respected as the unique individuals that they are. Our students also learn respect: for themselves, their peers and teachers, their school and the larger community outside our school walls. Academy of Our Lady is a warm and welcoming school where families and teachers come together to educate our students to meet the challenges of life with faith and confidence.
10 plus1 Payment Schedule: The first payment is due in July and will cover only the book fees. The book fee is the same as last year, $185.00 per student. The following ten monthly payments are applied to the cost of tuition and booster tickets.
Booster Tickets Fund: The Booster ticket fees are $300.00 a year per family and are included in the monthly tuition fee. There will be monthly drawings for three $100.00 prizes which will be awarded to Academy of Our Lady families. Tickets will no longer need to be sold. If for any reason a family's account is in arrears, the winnings will be applied to the account balances.
Registration Checklist - Please complete and return the following:
- Tuition Agreement for new school year
- Tuition Management Systems Form
- Bus Registration form
- Student Photo Waiver form
- $85.00 nonrefundable registration fee
- Student's birth certificate
- Baptismal certificate, (if applicable)
- Report card from last school attended
- Enrollment interview time with Principal to be scheduled
The State of Illinois requires dental forms for students entering Kindergarten, 2nd and 6th grade. Physical and immunization forms are required for all new students and for Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 6th grade students. If we have your student's 5th grade physical on file, at this time, it is not necessary to bring in a 6th grade physical.
