Academy of Our Lady Faculty


Margaret St. Claire joins the staff at Academy of Our Lady as Director of Instruction and Learning. She has 13 years of experience in the field of education. Margaret received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana in 1986. She was awarded a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from National-Louis University in 1994.

Most recently, Margaret worked as an adjunct faculty member at National-Louis University supervising student teachers. It was through this experience that she became passionate about educational leadership. She began her career working as a classroom teacher at District 67 in grades 1, 3 and 4. When her children were small, Margaret worked at District 68 as a permanent substitute teacher in grades K – 8. This included covering long term leaves of absence as a technology teacher and a math teacher in the gifted math program.

Margaret lives in Libertyville with her family. Her husband, Dave, works at Allstate Insurance. Her son, Rob, is starting his freshman year at Libertyville High School and Abby, her daughter, will be in sixth grade. Margaret and her family enjoy biking, boating and traveling./p>

Margaret is thrilled to be a member of the Academy of Our Lady staff. She is looking forward to an exciting school year.
