A message from the Principal:
Welcome to the Academy of Our Lady School website.
Located near Lake Michigan in Waukegan, Illinois, the Academy of Our Lady offers families in the area including North Chicago, the Great Lakes Naval Base, Gurnee and beyond, a warm and welcoming learning community based on Catholic doctrine and spiritual values as well as high academic standards.
We are a Pre-K through eighth grade learning center providing an Illinois State approved full day Pre-Kindergarten program for three and four year old children. We also take great pride in the fact that virtually all of our eighth grade students go on to be accepted at the high school of their choice.
Our students enjoy an 18 to 1 student/faculty ratio which helps us to provide the individual attention often needed so that all students achieve their highest potential. We have a large number of extra-curricular activities and athletic programs as well as an active parent organization which provide even more opportunities for our students and their families to be active participants in their children's education.
At the Academy of Our Lady we have been blessed by the great diversity in this area which creates an ideal environment for our students to grow and learn from each other as well as from our experienced and caring faculty. I invite you to enjoy our website and may God bless you and your family.
